The Invisible Kingdom

In a world… In a world… In a world… far, far away… 200 million light years from earth… in another another galaxy, hidden behind a death star there is a small solar system. On the far edge is a stable black hole. On the other side lyes an alternate dimension and somewhere in it is the planet I was born on…. *#)%&(*%#(_#_%&; (not translatable in English) which I call E.
Growing up, I remember thinking about what earth must be like… well, not really earth but another planet that supports life so far from me… Earth is probably mostly like E I suppose.
Here plants grow out of the air in clouds of humidity and their roots drop fruits to the earth. Tree limbs in the clouds bend low below the base of the clouds when their fruits are ripe for the picking. Its likely the same there. The way the porcupines fly through the air by alternately rotating their magnetic quills. Like me, the kids surly ride the giant mammoth Sloths to school and adults take the more speedy Giant turtles to work reaching speeds up to 185 gigameters an hour. And of course they would be familiar with the most deadly of all the creatures on a planet like ours, the toxic acid spitting miniature fainting lamb. So the natural laws of earth are probably nearly the same as here.
Well the thing is… If you lived in another world so far away you would not know what earth was like. You would only know about the place you were born and the things you have seen… even your imagination about other places could only be in relation to your association with the things you have seen and experienced.
So lets say that there was a guy named Nick who was born on earth as a baby like you but a few thousand years ago… the first thing he saw when he was born was the doctor spanking his bottom, then his mom and dad, then he saw the things of earth. The sky, trees, flowers, the people, the towns and buildings…
However, he would never be able to see some other alternate dimension like planet E. If he jumped on his donkey and tried to go there it just wouldn’t work out. Now if he could have been born there that would have been another thing altogether…
Maybe there was a way...
In John chapter 3 Nicodemus came to talk to Jesus and as they spoke together in verse 3 Jesus said ...“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Hmmm, What was Jesus saying? If Nicodemus wanted to see the invisible kingdom of God... he needed to be born again; but this time in Gods kingdom which is not of this world.
Well, its the same for you and me. And when we are born into his kingdom… only then can we see it… As we begin to grow every little thing brightens our eyes as we see more and more of the amazing treasures from God that turn our world upside down.
Jesus spoke more to Nicodemus: 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
I remember driving from Buffalo Oklahoma toward Woodward and seeing a giant tumbleweed tornado towering up in the sky maybe two telephone poles high. Actually all I saw was possibly 30 or so tumbleweeds spinning around… but I knew the wind was there even though I could not see it.
We know the Spirit is real because we see what it moves. It changes lives. People turn away from sin toward God. Relationships are restored, reoccurring sin stops, where there was hate there is love and forgiveness. Where bitterness there is peace and joy.
Jesus told Nicodemus: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
After we have new life in Jesus… there’s a whole new world for you to explore! Enjoy it!!!
