Proverbs 7:18 Come, let us take our fill of love till morning; let us delight ourselves with love.

Beneath the wool covers of "love" is lust

Daniel Castor

I find it interesting how the adulterous woman masquerades behind this idea of love!  She uses it twice in this verse. Let us fill ourselves with Love! Let us delight in love! Both of those things sound great to me. Who wouldn't want to be a person who is filled with love. Who wouldn't be delighted in love? But what she is talking about isn't love its “lust”. Its an emotion of craving that makes demands to you. What she is really saying is "Come, let us satisfy our lustful desires all night; let us be find joy in our lust.” See how sin tries to pull the wool over our eyes. Sin will do whatever it takes to try and convince us that our needs will be satisfied if we give in. This is a lie and it is something we must constantly be aware of, Because deception is how sin operates.
