The Cost To Be Lost

Daniel Castor

Sin promises grand things, But it never delivers. Sin will always cost you something. “What will it cost me?” you say! Well This verse describes many things that sin will take. You will take Honor that is intended for God and you will waste it on foolish things. Whatever we obey is what we honor. So when we obey our sinful desires we exult them instead of our God. It will take your time. Just for a minute sit back and think of the hours and days and years wasted on your sin! The thought can be overwhelming and depressing. But Let it be motivation for your future to not waste more time.  Sin also zaps your strength. When i have fallen prey to sin and i have blown it I not only loose spiritual strength and motivation but I also become physically weary, and lack the drive i once had. Sin also takes your labors. When we are not working to glorify God we are seeking our own glory. This is our natural state. We are prone to wander away from God and into slavery. A slavery that hijacks our honor, our time, our strength and our labor. But there is freedom to be had and that freedom comes in Christ!

Galatians 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
