Proverbs in 365 Devotions
Proverbs 16:29-30
A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good. 30 Whoever winks his eyes plans dishonest things; he who purses his lips brings evil to pass.
The Body Language Liar
by Robin Aylor
Watch out for the violent man
Who purses his lips and hides his teeth
He closes his mouth firmly fast
In fear the truth will seep
Some can smell his flavored fear
As bursting sweat beads stink
He moves his head with lying eyes
And gives his fans a wink
He says when he can: look man
Here’s the business diagram
Its clean, its green, not a pyramid scheme
Join my legitimate ponzi scam
Ah! at last, I’m glad you asked
Who is this one with a deceitful mask
Who throws out shattered glass, launches tear gas
And laughs as he brings mayhem to pass?
Who is it that usually thinks of himself
With his pride in stealth as he searches for wealth?
Who hands out the fruit of a poisonous tree?
Empty hands with curved fingers point back at me
