Proverbs 10:17 Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray.
The Y
Daniel Castor
I stood at the Y in the woods contemplating the two trails
The first was well lit and well worn but I'd heard of its tales
Yes the first appeared to be a wide and a tempting one
And looked easy to walk down even easier to run
Though many didn't notice it increased in its decline
Their mind was in another place to this truth they where blind
The warning signs where clearly marked but hard for most to see
Not from lack of being in view but from lack of urgency
See the people going down this path showed no sense of worry
They said if I decide to change my mind Ill turn back in a hurry
A comforting thought, I said to myself as I walked towards it with concern
But if people can so easily come back why have none returned
Maybe they have found their way at the thought I was overjoyed
Or maybe the warning sighs are true and they have been destroyed
So I turned to the second path grown over and much more narrow
I cut away the limbs and leafs and there I found an arrow
What was written on that marker was the biggest help to me
For on that arrow was inscribed Mathew 7:13
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.
