One Cold Night

In Prague Oklahoma, The First Baptist Church put on a “Life of Christ Drive Through” portraying key events in the life of Jesus from birth to death and resurrection. That night it was very cold with a dusting snow… I sat at my station with others but kept thinking about my son Robin, who was hanging on the cross with only a covering over his nakedness. I will never forget it.

I thought about Peter, warming himself by a fire as Jesus was condemned… and how the King of Kings hung naked on the cross.

As a mother, I thought of Mary and how deep her pain for Jesus must have been.

Just to think that he died for me to save me from my ugly sin overwhelms me.

Jesus loves me and I love Jesus and want that for you too.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Please! come to the warmth of his love.
