Proverbs in 365 Devotions

January 8

Proverbs 1:11 If they say,“Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood; let us ambush the innocent without reason;
12 like Sheol let us swallow them alive, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;

Jesus came to give life

Daniel Castor

The clear point here is destruction of the innocent . Evil people always have this intent, its the same purpose that Satan himself has . Just think, who are always the victims of the wicked?  It's always weaker people! The children, the complacent, and the uneducated or misinformed. This is no different in the spiritual realm. Evil people have the intent of spiritual destruction. They will attack the weak. They will attack new spiritual believers (the children). They will set their targets on the spiritually complacent, and the spiritual uneducated or misinformed. We know that we all have moments where we fall into the area of spiritual weakness. Lets guard our hearts and be ready for the enemy's attack.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Our enemy's clear plan is our destruction. But our heavenly fathers plan is our salvation !
