Dream Again Blake Farley
Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us— to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. -Ephesians 3:20-21 (CSB)
When was the last time you had an impossible dream? When you were a kid your dream was to be batman, Cinderella, or a T-Rex. No one even dared to tell you that the dreams were impossible. As we got older, our dreams changed, but they were still big. We wanted to be rock stars, millionaires, or professional athletes and we believed in ourselves when no one else did. When was the last time you had a big dream?
Life has a way of making us jaded and our "big" dreams become a $50 raise or that we might be able to go a week without arguing with our spouse. Christ followers of all ages should be the biggest dreamers in the world. This verse in Luke 10 inspires me, "The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name." The spirit of God, the very spirit that has power over even the demons resides within us and we have access to the throne room of God, what are we doing with it? We have no excuse, it is time for Christ followers to begin to Dream Again. Ask God to show you some bold "impossible" God Glorifying dreams.
I'll share just a couple of mine with you. It is my dream to play a role in planting 10,000 churches in my lifetime. I have a dream of seeing all of my future children become disciple makers. I have a dream to see every language in the world have a Bible in the next 20 years. Are these possible? No, not without God, and that's exactly why they are faith filled! He does the supernatural, it is my job to pray and walk in obedience to Christ. All of my dreams may not come to fruition, but I refuse to limit God to the possible. According to Ephesians 3:20-21, even by biggest dreams are small to God. "Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us— to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." It is time to dream again.
