Christ Took My Sins Away
Gerri Aylor
If my walls were papered with all my sins
To stare me in the face
I’d be ashamed to let you in
Until I’d left no trace
Or if there was a movie
Filmed my whole life through
Showing all mistakes I’ve made
I’d run and hide from you
I’d hat to hear all my thoughts
Recorded since my birth
Because I know I’ve thought some things
To shame me from this Earth
I wish I could take all my sin
And say it was never there
For in those books on Judgment Day
My name’s recorded there
When my deeds are on the scale of life
Where good and bad shall weigh
I’ll be so glad that I have Christ
Who took those sins away
