The Trap We Set For Ourselves

Daniel Castor

How silly is it for someone to set a trap up right in front of what they are trying to catch. Whatever you where trying to catch would have to be pretty stupid to fall for a trap in plain sight. Surly we would never fall for something like this, would we?

The truth is we set traps for ourselves all the time. We set them up, we bait them,  we know that they will harm us but then we convince ourselves other wise. We tell our selves that we our missing out, or some kind of pleasure awaits us. You don't believe me? Browsing the internet late at night... being alone with your boyfriend/girlfriend somewhere you won't get caught... adjusting  your taxes a bit to help you out... adding a little extra time to your bill, or billing for time you were at work but not really working. These are just a few traps we set for ourselves, there are many more. We are all professionals at justifying our sin and making it appear as if we have a good reason. The truth is that the justification of our sin is just covering up the trap that will lead to our death.
