An Excellent Wife
Robin Aylor
Proverbs 12:4. An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.
An excellent wife is like a kingly crown
That rests on her husbands head
A noble sign that helps him abound
And honors the one she has wed
It says he is strong and says he is just.
It says that she willingly gives him her trust.
She says “lead on” “ both me and the troops!”
Through valleys, ore mountains, and zig zagging loops
In kinship and station, in budget and plans
In love, in relations without domineering demands
Over land, over sea, on the ground, in the air,
He captains the fleet, even leads them in prayer
The crown is a jewel, a helper indeed.
For his kingdom an honorable husband will bleed
This crown proclaims majesty, honor and love
His humility makes it to fit like a glove
But a crown of deceit, is selfish and brash.
She tears down and belittles her husband like trash.
He hangs down his head as he walks on the way,
Wondering what lies she has spread today.
Ephesians 5:24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,
